Founded in 1984 by Marshall Richardson, Tara has been a leader in the pool industry for over 37 years. We have played an important role in the development of the pool liner. Tara was one of the first companies to incorporate computers into the design and cutting process. Tara’s innovation transformed the process of manufacturing vinyl liners. We took a handcrafted product that was inaccurate and unreliable and created a product that was precise and durable. Since then, we have applied the same innovative solutions to develop a pool safety cover that exceeds ASTM standards.

Tara has always been more than a manufacturer for our customers. We are a resource for them, providing tools that make it easier to sell and install Tara products. We know that our customers' reputations rely, in part, on the durability and quality of our products. We also provide an effective, responsive customer service team that will help answer not just Tara-specific questions, but other general pool-related questions. Today, Marshall’s daughter Tara and her husband Larry share leadership of the company. Marshall still plays a role in the company though. He provides his time and wisdom in helping guide Tara Manufacturing into the future.
