Now's the time to send your old safety cover to Tara to be measured, quoted and remade. Take advantage of our accurate and easy-to-use template measuring program. Safety Cover Repair / Replacement Form

We can supply you with our large template shipping bag that can easily handle most old covers. We do ask that you remove the hardware before sending the template. Also, due to the popularity of the template program and increased disposal cost we will have a simple service charge of just $35 per template.

Our team of experts will measure your template using our exclusive measuring system that records the precise size and shape of your template. Your new Tara replacement safety cover will fit in the same position as the original. If the exisiting cover was made by Tara, just send us the serial number. The serial number can be found on the warning label and on the label stitched to the underside of the cover.

Please keep in mind, sometimes straps have to be moved on the new cover. We may have to move the straps in situations such as; the cover material is different than the original, if there have been changes to the pool or to bring a safety cover into compliance with ASTM standards.

Template Return Instructions:

Obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Number:

Receiving the Template Bag:

After you’ve acquired the RMA number, we’ll send you a special template bag designed for shipping. This bag comes with a return address label and a tag for the template.

Prepping Your Template:

Write the provided RMA number on the template bag.

Fold the template in half, then fold it in half again. Be sure to remove all hardware before folding.

Roll the twice-folded template so it fits into the template bag.

Shipping Your Template:

Drop off the template at your local distributor.

Important: It’s essential that the RMA number is securely attached to the safety cover template. Whether utilizing our provided template tags or creating your own, ensure the number is both legible and firmly affixed. This RMA number allows us to correctly identify your template, link it to the right customer, and access the pertinent cover details. Templates without clear RMA identification cannot be processed.

Template Return Policy

Tara will not pay freight on templates.

The following will result in template refusal. Templates refused for any reason will be returned to sender freight collect:

  • any template that comes in with hardware attached (A $100.00 removal fee will be applied)
  • any template over 20’ x 40’
  • any template that is shredded or torn up*
  • any template that does not have cross-strapping including bungee covers*
  • any template that needs alterations
  • any template that comes in without a visible RMA number

*Templates failing to meet the above criteria may be ordered by using the Tara A-B Measuring APP to measure ALL anchor locations and several points on each side of pool, used to determine overlap dimensions. Templates will not be stored after they are measured. If a template is to be sent back, arrangements MUST BE MADE at the time the RMA is issued.

Quotes on templates are only valid for 60 days. If they are ordered after the 60 days, the quote will be revised.
