Class Schedule and Activities

Day 1

12:00 PM: Guided tour of the Tara manufacturing facility

12:30 PM: Insight into the production process of vinyl liners and safety covers

1:30 PM: Key information required for finished liners and fundamental pool measuring techniques

5:30 PM: Dinner at the hotel

Day 2

8:30 AM: Detailed training on the A-B measurement method

Hands-on practice with real-world scenarios

Techniques for handling complex pool shapes and features

Approval drawings and liner contracts

12:30 PM: Lunch and Q&A session

Optional Shade School Seminar (2 Hours): Learn how to select, measure and install the perfect shade.

Meet Your Instructors

Brian Keith

Brian Keith has over three decades of experience in the pool industry, starting in 1985 with R&S Pools and Pool Doctors and later serving as Business Development Director at Superior Pool Products. His expertise in pool construction, service, sales, and customer relations makes him an invaluable instructor at Tara University.

Daniel Batulanon

With over 26 years in the pool industry, Daniel is a seasoned professional who excelled in roles at SCP and Emsco among others. Known for his strong partnership-building skills, Daniel brings a wealth of knowledge and genuine enthusiasm to Tara University. A native of Lebanon, Ohio, he enjoys coaching sports and participating in tractor pulling teams.

Lori Connolly

Lori’s career encompasses builder, retail, service, maintenance, and distribution aspects of the pool industry. Lori is renowned for her exceptional customer relationship management. She brings an infectious enthusiasm and a positive, can-do attitude, making her an invaluable asset to both Tara Pools and students at Tara University.

John Vowels

John brings extensive experience to Tara as the Regional Sales Manager. His career began with pool installations during college, evolving into co-founding a pool service company, and later excelling in sales and management at SCP for 20 years. An avid Chicago sports fan and family man, John's depth of knowledge in liner and safety cover installations enriches the Tara team.

Gregg Minton

Gregg’s career in the pool industry started in 1980 and includes roles at Swimline, South Central Pool Supply and Bio-Lab before starting his own company, Imagination Pools. Joining Tara in 2011, Gregg brings over four decades of diverse experience, from wholesale distribution to pool construction, making him an invaluable instructor at Tara University.
