Vinyl liner (package pools) are not just versatile and affordable, they are also a better choice for the environment. They are made from recyclable materials including steel, plastic, wood and vinyl. Because they are shipped as a kit and assembled on-site, they require less energy to transport and construct. The smooth non-porous vinyl surface prevents algae growth so a vinyl pool uses fewer chemicals. The vinyl liner also insulates the pool, reducing energy consumption.

This year we have not been able to catch a break from the rain. So far, it's been one of the wettest on record. That means many of us are dealing with flooding and high water tables which can easily lead to floating pool liners. When water builds up behind a liner it can lead to wrinkles, balloon shaped swelling or the liner coming loose from the track.

Of all the pool shapes, a freeform is the most difficult to measure. To get an accurate measurement we recommend using the A - B point to point method. It involves measuring a series of points around the perimeter of the pool from two fixed points roughly 5 - 10 feet from the pool. This method is versatile and can be used for any size or shape of pool. If it’s done right and all of the measurements are recorded correctly, it gives the designers a very accurate layout of the pool’s perimeter. If you use this method you can measure any pool that comes your way.

Tara Adds to the Communities We Serve
Since we started, part of our mission at Tara, has been to contribute to the improvement of our community. Volunteering and contributing money and resources to local organizations helped us connect to our community. In 2015 we were inspired to expand the community we support. That year, we experienced a serious flood that left many local residents and employees without shelter. The Red Cross responded as soon as it happened. They helped many in our community by providing food, shelter and support. We were overwhelmed by the speed, the organization and the range of services the Red Cross was able to provide. This event motivated us to want to contribute to their disaster relief efforts in the future so they could help others, like they helpded us.
The best way to update the look of your pool is to get a new liner. Once a pool starts to age it can loose it’s luster. Fading and stains can hurt the appearance and make the pool look worn out. Times and tastes change as well and a liner pattern that looked great 10 years ago, may look dated now. More importantly, vinyl liners have come a long way in recent years. The technology, patterns and options available have made vinyl liners as beautiful and luxurious as anything on the market. Here are 3 reasons why there’s never been a better time to update your pool!
